F1 23 Update 1.08 Patch Notes

The new patch for F1® 23 Patch (v1.08) has started rolling out on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Here are the changes this patch will make:

  • F1® replay event type added to F1® World
  • AI driver added to League Racing
  • Fixed an issue that could set unrealistic lap times in time trials after triggering instant replay under certain circumstances. All time trial leaderboards have been reset.
  • Fixed an issue in both player careers where drivers would receive incorrect tire allocation after sprinting on a weekend
  • Fixed an issue where qualifying practice items were much more difficult than other items in the career
  • Fixed an issue where the Jeddah pit lane speed limit was incorrect
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect start times for some sessions in Bahrain and Jeddah
  • Fixed an issue where “Opponent Telemetry Mode” was not working during time trials
  • Fixed an issue where too many resource points were being awarded despite setting the setting to “Reduce” in career mode
  • Fixed an issue where DRS lights would appear inaccurately on some F2 cars
  • Fixed an issue in Austria where DRS could be activated behind another driver after the other driver left the pits
  • Fixed an issue where the timer could display incorrect times when watching qualifying
  • Fixed the issue where the invited friend list would be empty in some cases when the number of friends is large.
  • Fixed an audio issue where Max Verstappen was awarded Driver of the Day instead of the actual winner in some cases

F1 23 Gameplay

F1 23 marks the return of the story mode Braking Point, which debuted in F1 2021. The game features well-known characters like Devin Butler and Aiden Jackson, as well as new characters like Devin’s sister Carly Meir and Davidoff Butler. Butler Global CEO. Konnersport founder Andreo Konner and now-retired veteran driver Casper Akkerman also made appearances. Narrative mode includes live-action scenarios, reminiscent of Grid Legends.

The game introduces major improvements to driving physics and the option to set a 35% race distance. Red flags, which have not been seen since F1 2014, have been reintroduced. The user interface has been completely revamped, similar to how current Formula 1 races are presented. Notably, the My Team Icons pack includes legends like Nigel Mansell, Jamie Chadwick, Reverend Maldonado, and Kamui Kobayashi. Pre-orders include characters from Braking Point 2 as icons.

F1 World expands on F1 22’s F1 Life functionality, integrating all game modes including ranked, eSports, offline and online modes. Podium Pass returns and introduces a safety rating system for online players that also expands to offline mode with optional disabling features.

Players can upgrade their World of F1 cars with new parts and hire new team members, all earned through the game with no microtransactions required. Objectives and outlines unlock rewards in World of F1, and players can progress through the Podium Pass by playing various game modes.

The game features new tracks such as Losail International Circuit for the Qatar Grand Prix and the all-new Las Vegas Strip circuit for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. Additionally, it includes circuits such as Imola, Paul Ricard, Shanghai International Circuit and Algarve International Circuit, although they do not appear on the 2023 schedule.

Aiden Jackson joins the Konnersport Butler Global Racing Team for the 2022 season after failing to reach an agreement with another team. During the Miami Grand Prix, Aiden retired due to car problems, while Devin Butler scored for the team. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Butler was ordered to give way to Jackson, but he ignored the order. Jackson passed Butler and got ahead of him.

In F2, Callie Mayer became the first female Formula 2 champion with support from Trident and was assisted by Jackson’s former teammate and retired driver Casper Akkerman .

Ackermann becomes Konnersport’s new team principal for the 2023 season, replacing Andreo Konner, who remains with the team. During the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Butler was involved in a car accident and announced his immediate retirement because he had concealed a hearing problem. Konnersport must find a new promoter to secure funding from Butler Global. They chose Carly over Devin. At the Spanish Grand Prix, Aiden finished in the top eight alongside reserve driver Noah Bell.

On her debut in Baku, Carly made contact with Jackson after trying to get her teammates through. At the British Grand Prix, Jackson refused to let Kelly pass him, but she still managed to finish in the top ten. The team faced financial challenges, and Andreo and Casper revealed the funding crisis to Aiden and Kelly, threatening Konnersport’s future in F1.

At the Italian Grand Prix, Devin returned to Conners Sports as team liaison. In Singapore, Aiden was upset by Devon’s advice, but he ended up in the top five. After the game, Devon apologized to Carly, who confronted her father, Davidoff, about his business-oriented decisions.

In Sao Paulo, Carey battled with Davidoff and, in the safety car, finished in the top five. In Abu Dhabi, Casper hosts a meeting where Aiden apologizes to Carly. However, Aiden’s race ended due to mechanical failure, while Carly secured a top-four finish, keeping Konnersport in Formula One.

Following the game, Butler Global’s funding was secured and Connors Sports was ready for the upcoming season.
